"Les Quatre Vents" was originally the barn, stables and cider press of a former farm dating from 1760. This traditional stone property has been sympathetically renovated and has exposed stonework and oak beams, thus retaining its original charm and character - but with the benefit of all modern facilities and comforts.
"Les Quatre Vents" is in an elevated position at the end of a quiet no-through-lane amid beautiful countryside and has lovely views over the valley of the River Elle and the forest of Cerisy. It is situated 5km south-west of Cerisy-la-Forêt, roughly mid-way between Bayeux and Saint-Lô and close to the border of the Manche and Calvados departments. The Gîte is in an ideal location for walking, cycling, horse-riding, fishing and birdwatching, also the perfect base from which to explore this part of Normandy as it is within easy reach of the D-Day Landing Beaches, the Bayeux Tapestry, Mont St Michel and so many other places of historical and cultural interest.
