Being very close to the Manche/Calvados border, Les Quatre Vents provides a good central touring base for exploring this part
of Normandy so rich in history and heritage, art and culture, nature and gastronomy.  It is within easy reach of miles of beautiful
sandy beaches, the medieval cathedral city of Bayeux with its world-famous Tapestry, the D-Day Sites and Museums,
the Mont St Michel, Honfleur . . . and Paris is only 2 hours away by train.

You will find plenty of Tourist Information and maps in the cottage, also a list of local events occurring during your stay, including
vide-greniers (boot sales) and weekly markets, where you can buy fresh local produce.

On your doorstep . . .

Lovely countryside.  Les Quatre Vents is right at the end of a no-through lane – great for running, walks and cycle rides (circuits and maps are provided in the cottage) – with notice, bike hire and delivery to the cottage is possible.

There is a pony club just a short walk away – treks can be arranged to discover the surrounding countryside, the nearby
Forest of Cerisy, and even the coast!

The river Elle is about 300 metres away and is a premier category river for trout fishing.
A daily or holiday fishing permit can be obtained from the village bar during the season (March to September).

The 5,250 acre Forest of Cerisy is nearby, with its tourist information centre, arboretum and nature trails for walkers, horse-riders
and cyclists.
